True Blood Casts Beauties

True Blood dvd's Season 4 keeps filling roles left and right. Deadline is reporting that Janina Gavankar (The L Word dvd), Alexandra Breckenridge (Life Unexpected dvd) and Vedette Lim (As the World Turns dvd) have joined the big show.

So who will these three lovely ladies be playing? Well, Gavankar will play Luna, a sexy shape-shifting school teacher who is "first seen attending an informal gathering with others like her." Breckenridge will play Daisy, a member of "a wiccan group founded by Marnie" and a role that was just recently filled by Harry Potter dvd's Fiona Shaw. And Lim will portray Naomi, a fierce cage fighter.

Courteney Cox Copes with Humor, Hard Work

For Courteney Cox, the show and life must go on. "If we weren't friends and she didn't confide in me I wouldn't have any idea that anything was wrong," her Cougar Town costar Josh Hopkins tells us that She comes to set, she knows her stuff, and she's hilarious everyday. But Hopkins, who plays Cox's love interest, points out that some of the attention over the actress's split from David Arquette" has been noticed by Cox's 6-year-old daughter Coco. "The day that the news of the separation broke, there were paparazzi outside of their house, and they were taking pictures when Courteney took Coco to school," the actor said Friday at the OmniPeace by Jordan Klein launch. Hopkins, who was supporting his costar/boss by attending the event at Kitson in Hollywood, says that while all adult relationships have their share of turmoil, the fact that the split involves two celebrities makes it unique. "There's no doubt that they have a lot to deal with right now," he said, looking over at Courteney Cox who was sitting nearby, "more than you would in your average separation."

The Ladies joins Human Target

Human Target dvd was a very cool action series in Season 1, but it was also quite the boys club, with its three male leads. When Season 2 premieres this Wednesday that will change, as new characters Ilsa and Ames enter the series. During a visit to Vancouver, where Human Target films, I was part of a group of journalists who had breakfast with Varma, Montgomery and new executive producer/showrunner Matt Miller (Chuck dvd), to find out what to expect from these new additions to the series.
As Montgomery hinted, Ilsa is the wealthy new backer of Chance's group, offering to fund them, after she enlists their services and is impressed by what she sees. Comparing Ilsa and Ames, Varma said, "In a way we enter with different status. Ames comes in as a little fledgling, of low status. She needs controlling because she's young and out of control but full of potential. And Ilsa, she knows what she wants, she's an experienced woman, but not in this field. Human Target dvd box set will still focus on various case of the week stories, but Chance's backstory will also continue to be developed, though Miller noted that the plan was for a "loooong timetable" in that regard.

Takers Blu-ray follows a cadre of thieves as they plot a tricky new heist. The movie has two strengths: it deftly juggles three intertwining plot line and it walks a fine line between just enough realism to make us care about the thieves and just enough absurdity to make everything entertaining. It doesn't hurt that the man flesh is all ridiculously handsome and smashingly tailored in swank suits. And there are a handful of high energy sequences including a chase that features zippy parkour climbing stunts through moving traffic that give the story clichés a nice jolt of pep. All in all, Takers box set probably won't stick in your memory very long, but it's good fun while it lasts.

'Project Runway' winner 'wasn't surprised'

Project Runway dvd box set winner Gretchen Jones has claimed that she was the only real designer who deserved to win the latest season of the show.
Jones beat both Andy South and presumed favourite Mondo Guerra in the show's season finale, which aired last Thursday.
The designer also admitted that both she and fellow contestant Guerra had very contrasting styles, and for that reason claimed that she wasn't surprised when the judging panel was split when deciding the winner.

What Community's Alison Brie said about Scream

At recent Scream Awards, I had the chance to catch up with the very busy Alison Brie. Standing a few feet from Wes Craven, her director in Scream 4 , we spoke about that upcoming slasher film and Brie's huge fandom towards the series. We also discussed this year's big Community Halloween episode, airing this Thursday night. Not to mention, a brief chat about her Mad Men character, Trudy Campbell. Both Better With You and the superhero family series No Ordinary Family dvd have been picked up. In related news, ABC has ordered five more episodes of Detroit 1-8-7 and 4 more of Brothers & Sisters dvd. Yes, apparently, those shows exist. We've come to that very special time in the Fall when we start hearing about which new network shows will be getting the axe and which will be getting picked up for full seasons. For some shows though, there's a comfortable place in between. ABC's superhuman family drama, No Ordinary Family, hasn't been picked up for a full run yet, but it's been given a big vote of confidence in the form of a script order for four more episodes.IGN had a chance to speak with Jim and Stephanie Powell, Michael Chiklis (The Shield dvd) and Julie Benz (Dexter dvd), and ask them about where the show is headed, the hidden darkness underneath the sweetness and the TV numbers game. There's nothing we can do about it really. I mean as people would like to believe that there's no real science to it, there's a lot of data that comes in and at the end of the day, Julie and I both feel that our instincts are correct that if you make a really good show then it's going to be the best thing you can do towards staying on the air. Sure, there're all sorts of different ways that can get screwed up in the way the show is promoted or placed or whatever, but the biggest thing that we can do to contribute to its success is make great shows. That doesn't prevent us from trying to figure it all out, of course.

South Park Producers Apologize for Inception

South Park dvd creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have apologized for borrowing lines in a recent episode that spoofed Inception from a CollegeHumor video.
The South Park episode, titled "Insheeption," and a CollegeHumor video both featured the same lines that mocked the complexness of the film, but just weren't actually from the film. One line in particular "Sometimes my thoughts of my dead wife manifest themselves as trains." was exactly the same.

Syfy orders a new 'Battlestar' pilot

American channel Syfy has reportedly ordered a new pilot depending on the popular science fiction franchise Battlestar Galactica dvd.

The channel have ordered a two-hour pilot as the basis for a new series, which will follow original protagonist William Adama.

The report claims the popular series, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, will take place during the early years of the Cylon war when a young Ensign Adama is assigned to the newly-built spaceship Galactica.

"We jumped at the opportunity to revisit the William Adama character and explore this exciting chapter in the Battlestar Galactica DVD Box Set narrative which falls between the events of the original series and the prequel Caprica," Syfy head of programming Mark Stern said of the new series.

A few months ago Syfy launched another prequel series as Caprica, which is set almost 60 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica box set and follows the creation of the show's main antagonists, the robot Cylon race.

'Mad Men' star 'shocked by season finale'

Mad Men DVD star Jessica Par has accepted that she was shocked by the events of the show's fourth season finale. Viewers saw Don Draper unexpectedly propose to his secretary Megan (Par) in 'Tomorrowland'. However, Par insisted that the unlikely pair's romance could last longer than fans expect. Mad Men Season 4 concluded on October 17. A fifth season will air on AMC in 2011.

Taylor Swift writes song about John Mayer?

Taylor Swift has reportedly criticised John Mayer in a song from her new album. Earlier this year, it was reported that Mayer had told a friend that he had "tied in" with Swift in January. People reports that the song 'Dear John' is a ballad which includes lyrics about an older man who "messed with" a young girl with his "dark, twisted games". Perez Hilton also says that Swift had hinted that her album would be full of songs which represent real relationships, and would use real names of some of her partners.

Hatcher 'flattered' by 'Smallville' role

Teri Hatcher has admitted that she feels "flattered" to be joining the cast of Smallville dvd.

It was previously reported that the actress would play the mother of Lois Lane (Erica Durance) in a forthcoming episode.


Lois will discover an old videotape of her deceased mother in the instalment, titled 'Abandoned'.


Desperate Housewives DVD Box set star Hatcher previously played Lois on ABC drama Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman dvd from 1993 to 1997.

Durance has admitted that she was "thrilled" to be working alongside her predecessor.

Smallville Season 10 continues on Fridays at 8/7c on The CW.

'Mad Men' creator teases series finale

Mad Men DVD creator Matthew Weiner has admitted to being happy that fans have readily accepted the changes that he has introduced.
The start of the show's fourth season earlier this year saw protagonist Don Draper as a changed man, after becoming newly divorced and corresponding for a small, struggling business.
Mad Men Season 4 concludes tonight on AMC at 10/9c.

Entourage DVD 's Constance Zimmer is currently a permanent plus-one.
The actress, who stars as studio exec Dana Gordon on the hit HBO series, married director Russ Lamoureux on Saturday at the SoHo House in L.A.
"Having a wedding ceremony in a rooftop garden high above Sunset Boulevard together with your closest friends watching you come down the aisle, it absolutely was just overwhelming, in a good way," Zimmer tells. "I have to say, it was a night we didn't would like to end."

The Simpsons Last Night

Remember when The Simpsons dvd was relevant and effing brilliant with their subversive label of funny? It's been awhile, but last night's couch gag has made the show watercooler talk worthy again, especially 'round the interwebs.

Famous graffiti artist Banksy, the guy who made his first feature documentary with 2010's Last Exit Through the Gift Shop, directed the opening credits to last night's episode and he took it to a very, very dark place. But funny.

Spencer 'meets girls on Twilight set'

Chaske Spencer has says one of the perks of working on the Twilight blu-ray movies is meeting girls that hang around the films' Vancouver sets.
Talking to OK, the actor commented that he is getting excited about filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 because he'll once again have the ability to encounter the Canadian city's "hot" women.
"I like the workouts and after you do the workouts we all go to lunch," Spencer said. "We were always at Cactus Club - we just went for the girls. There are several hot girls in Vancouver."
Spencer also explained that he appreciates the tight-knit nature of the vampire series's cast.
"Oh, well we're all friends," he said. "Im especially close with the wolf guys - we're a wolfpack."

Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley has denied that the band's new album was stimulated by his divorce from Avril Lavigne.
Whibley, who separated from the 'Girlfriends dvd' popstar in 2009 after three years of marriage, insisted that upcoming release Screaming Bloody Murder is "not about her".
The album is said to showcase a harder, angrier type of music than the band's more punk-oriented previous offerings.

Crystal Bowersox Gets Married!

Crystal Bowersox, the American Idol dvd runner-up, is engaged to musician Brian Walker and they decide to tie the knot next month.

It's the first marriage for Bowersox, 25, who has a son, Tony, one and a half year, from a previous relationship. Bowersox is now recording her debut album.

As her career will be taking off, her love life has also been on fast-forward.

Just last May, she famously split up with her then-boyfriend hours before the final performance night. She said the split was mutual but that she drew on her raw emotions while singing a moving rendition of Patty Griffin's "Approximately the Mountain."

Second candidate fired from 'The Apprentice'

Alex is now the second candidate to be fired on the new season of The Apprentice dvd.The 43-year-old unemployed engineer was chosen as the weakest link by most of his teammates and was fired by Donald Trump after they lost this week's challenge.The groups got a task to sell ice cream throughout New York City and were told that the team who earned the most money from the task would win for the week. David quickly took on the job as Project Manager for the men's team Octane while Poppy accepted the role for the women's team Fortitude.Both groups experienced tension under their selected PMs. David expressed his frustration at his group's lack of a sales plan and their hectic presentation while trying to move ice cream bars in Union Square. The remainder of the team also complained that they had arrived to soon to sell the product.Meanwhile, Stephanie took issue with Liza's domineering attitude and soon urged Poppy to "step in" and put a stop to it. Stephanie also suggested that the team should concentrate on selling larger orders of ice cream rather than individual servings as that would make them the most profit, causing her fellow Fortitude members to feel sceptical about their chances.In the boardroom, Mr Trump questioned Fortitude as to whether they felt they had an advantage as women in terms of increasing their sales, though they all insisted that this was not true. He then asked Poppy who she believed the weakest player was, and although she did not initially want to name anyone, she eventually pointed to Liza, who seemed shocked by the revelation and defended the hard work that she invested in the task.Poppy explained that she had chosen Liza as she felt her sales skills were the weakest, which went against the point of the task. She confidently told Mr Trump that Liza should be the one to leave the show if Fortitude had lost. Liza then slammed Poppy by revealing that she believed Stephanie took charge for most of the challenge and therefore Poppy should be fired if the group failed, which her fellow teammates disagreed with vehemently.Turning his attention to Octane, David was questioned as to whether he believed their team had won and who he believed had performed the worst during the task. David named Alex and James as the weakest, and both men seemed surprised by the choice. While James defended his actions during the task, Alex seemed to agree with the criticisms made about his performance. The other group members were then quizzed on who they believed should leave the competition had their team lost, and everyone seemed to agree that while James was the worst in this task, Alex was a worse candidate overall.Mr Trump chastized the teams for their over-confidence about winning the task, explaining that no victory is ever guaranteed. He then announced that the men lost the task by only earning $1,500, while the women of Fortitude had were able to bring in over $1,800. He congratulated the women but reminded them to be more humble in future tasks and not to take success as a given.David decided to bring James and Alex back to the boardroom where he once again insisted that the two men were largely to blame for their failure this week. However, he did admit that Alex was willing to try more "crazy things" in order to get the job done. James said that he believed Alex was the weakest player on the team, causing Mr Trump to question Alex on why he had not defended his actions. He then spoke up, stating that he believed he was less aggressive than the others because he didn't believe in "man-handling" people and that is why his fellow Octane members pointed to him as a reason for failure.Mr Trump easily decided to fire Alex after stating that not only had he sold the least ice cream, but he also seemed less passionate about preserving his place in the competition when compared to David and James.The Apprentice box set continues next Thursday on NBC.

Lost's Ben Linus Headed to Criminal Minds?

Sterling Beaumon must have a thing for playing creepy killers.
The 15-year-old actor, who played a young Benajmin Linus on Lost 1-6 dvd set, is set to guest-star on Criminal Minds seasons 1-5, has learned exclusively. Beaumon may play Jeremy, a young boy who is suspected of killing families in the Midwest.
Mare Winningham (ER dvd boxset, Grey's Anatomy on dvds) also guest-stars in the episode as Nancy Riverton, a woman who takes in Jeremy.
Beaumon, who recurred in Lost series dvd 's time-tripping fifth season, played a young Ben, before he grew up to be the deadly leader of The Others, as portrayed by Emmy winner Michael Emerson. Beaumon has also appeared on ER 1-15 dvd collection and Bones seasons 1-5 dvd.

Lady GaGa the biggest winner of MTV VMAs

Lady GaGa was the major winner at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, taking home seven awards.
The singer collected six prizes for her 'Bad Romance' promo clip, including the prestigious Video of the Year accolade, together with the Best Collaboration trophy for her Beyonc-assisted 'Telephone' video.
Eminem picked up the Best Hip Hop Video and Best Male Video gongs for 'Not Afraid', while Jay-Z and Alicia Keys's 'Empire State Of Mind' clip was lavished with a pair of technical prizes.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber followed in the footsteps of artists including Eminem, Avril Lavigne and GaGa by taking home the Best New Artist trophy.
The only British winners at the annual awards ceremony - held at LA's Nokia Theatre - were Florence and the Machine, whose 'Dog Days Are Over' video won the Best Art Direction prize, and Muse, who got Best SFX for 'Uprising'.
Notable performances at the event came from Eminem and Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Usher, Bieber and Florence.

CSI appearance will likely be fun

Justin Bieber has said that fans will love watching his cameo appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation dvd.
The popstar - who previously described his experience on the series as "badass" - said that he has always been a fan of the show as it keeps viewers guessing.
He added: "It opens a new audience to the show and it also helps me because a new audience that might not know me is now going to see me. So it works both ways."

E1 Entertainment has announced Night of the Demons DVD Set and Night of the Demons Blu-ray releases which stars Shannon Elizabeth and Edward Furlong. Each will be available to own from October 19th for around $24.98 a pop. Extra features will include a writer/director commentary, cast and crew interviews, and behind the scenes footage.

Robert Pattinson will show up in Entourage Season 8 . The Twilight Blue-ray star is to feature in the episode due to air on September 12. The actor will apparently play "the most difficult client ever" for Ari . It was previously declared that both Eminem and Christina Aguilera would appear in the finale Entourage dvd. Stan Lee noted for co-creating iconic superheroes like Spider-Man dvd, Iron Man blue-ray, The X-Men dvd set, Hulk and many, many more, will be appearing on an upcoming episode of The CW's new series about the lovely and deadly former assassin, who is on a quest to get revenge against the group that turned her into a killer. Lee certainly has made cameo appearances in nearly all films based off of Marvel characters, but in recent years, he has also popped up in non-Marvel based projects like The Big Bang Theory seasons 1-3 and Heroes 1-4 dvd box set. Nikita dvd box set will continue Lee's cameo-tradition, as he appears in the fifth episode of the new series, which will air Thursday, October 7th.
