Teri Hatcher has admitted that she feels "flattered" to be joining the cast of Smallville dvd.
It was previously reported that the actress would play the mother of Lois Lane (Erica Durance) in a forthcoming episode.
Lois will discover an old videotape of her deceased mother in the instalment, titled 'Abandoned'.
Desperate Housewives DVD Box set star Hatcher previously played Lois on ABC drama Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman dvd from 1993 to 1997.
Durance has admitted that she was "thrilled" to be working alongside her predecessor.
Smallville Season 10 continues on Fridays at 8/7c on The CW.
